Kai Goh: A leader and captain both on and off the pitch who gains the respect from his teammates by his lead-by-example approach towards training and games. Kai has a great attitude, drive and willingness to improve as a player who lives and breathes football and is totally committed to the game.

Kai is a technically competent player with a good tactical understanding who can play in a number of positions. As with most 16-year old players there are always areas of his game to fine tune and improve, I would be happy to discuss further as requested.

Kai’s key strength has always been his range of passing which is crucial in the modern game for a centre back. Kai has grown and worked hard in the gym to improve his physicality, which will continue to improve as he continues to grow in stature. It has certainly helped him in the heading department which is a vital component of his position. His 1v1 defending is also strong and his timing has certainly improved over the past few years as well. Finally, I am also very impressed to see that Kai attends training and games when he has been injured. It shows tremendous commitment and team support Kai will be eligible to play at League One Under 20 Reserves next season and I am looking forward to that next step in his development.

It has been a true pleasure to coach Kai and witness his growth as both a player and individual during his time at Appleby College. Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of observing his significant progress in technical skills, tactical awareness, and physicality. It is evident that Kai has dedicated substantial time and effort off the field to enhance every aspect of his game.
On the pitch, Kai demonstrates strong positional awareness as both a center back and fullback. His passing distribution with both feet is exceptional, and he consistently makes intelligent decisions on and off the ball. Additionally, he is highly effective in winning aerial duels.
As an individual, Kai embodies strong morals and possesses impressive leadership potential, which we are eager to leverage in his final year with our program. We wish him continued success in both soccer and his future endeavors.

Kai’s deep passion for the sport of soccer can be seen through his relentless work ethic in every gym session. Every gym session he enters, he consistently demonstrates the dedication necessary to excel as an athlete. Dedicated to continuous improvement, Kai actively seeks out opportunities to enhance his skills through rigorous training, and attention to detail. He embodies the spirit of a lifelong learner, always looking for ways to elevate his game in order to contribute to team success. With his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, I believe that he will be ready to compete and make a significant impact at the collegiate level.
